6th #run4salmon Kickoff

PRAYER COMES FIRST •
Today we begin our 6th #run4salmon, 300-mile journey once again for the salmon and our waters despite the wildfires and the pandemic, we cannot give up on this prayer now that it’s needed even more.

The times are dire. Our oceans are on fire and our salmon are suffering tremendously. Water protectors in Minnesota are risking their lives facing escalated force by the police and we cannot give up now.

We are keeping our promise to protect our salmon. We are keeping our promise to pray for our waters. When the salmon gave us our voice in the beginning of time we promised to always speak for them and no pandemics or wildfires will keep us from honoring that sacred covenant.

Our hearts are full thinking of all of you, the thousands of you who’ve joined our prayer throughout the years, those of you who’ve put down your foot steps, your prayers, your tears along nearly 2,000 miles along this watershed.

JOIN US in spirit for the next two weeks. Take a glass of water and pray for your rivers with us. Learn the names of your rivers and visualize in prayer, the millions of salmon that will one day be restored and swim down our rivers to feed the whales like in the old times.
