.....Within and without
From the realms above
Between
And Below
Setting the pathway
Casting hōʻailona to the sky
And calling her wisdom and lessons to the present
From Kahikikū
To Kahikimoe
From Kuaihelani, Nuʻumealani, and Keʻalohilani
To Hōlanikū and Hōlanimoe
To the islands above and beneath the sea
Calling me to see myself in the low laying rainbows
In the glow of everything that is and will be
As I stand in the presence of the goddess
As her reflection
As her continuation
As her declaration
Of mana
Of Mauli Ola
Of Ea
Of aloha
So it is
And so it will always be
And we will keep chanting
Into the light
As the light
E iho ē
Ua pa’a ka moku - the completion of a full cycle of our Papa Oli was honored in ceremony at the ahu at Pu‘uhuluhulu. We gathered for the first time in person after a whole year meeting weekly on zoom. I invited my mother, the elder of our Hale, to anchor this ceremony and witness the hō‘ike of this incredible group of women that I am so profoundly blessed to know and love.
I feel so full and so grateful as I sit in reflection of our sacred time spent together. The words are still coming in on the four winds but what I know for certain is that I look forward to all of the oli we will lift together in this lifetime.
The four cornerstones of the Hale Haumea have been set and the offerings of ʻōlena and paʻakai mark the reclamation of our rightful gathering place.
