Kūkulu ka pahu kapu a ka leo
He ala hele he ala muku
No Kāne lāua ‘o Kanaloa
He kīho’iho’i kānāwai
He kai okia kānāwai
He kua ‘ā kānāwai
No Pele nō ko’u akua lā!

‘Eli‘eli kau mai!

When the Goddess speaks
And reminds all who is all powerful
We prepare our sacred offerings
We lift our voices in chant and prayer
We remember we are the land and the land is us
And as new ‘āina makes way down ancient slopes
I whisper, “E mau ke ea o ka ‘āina i ka pono”
I ke aloha
