Tonight’s writing prompt is to share a wise saying or mana’o that has resonated with us this year. It could be from a meme, from a conversation, a story, a song, message, dream, or any kind of flow of connection that moved you.

In a conversation with my sister @jalena.kl about the complexities of layered and compounded emotions, she shared a mana’o that helped me to be so much more graceful with myself. She said, “it can all be true at the same time.” I felt every tension and confusion in my body exhale and rest. Instead of continuing to spiral and splice my emotional processes, I just let my feelings land where they needed to and found peace in allowing them all to have a place.

Allowing myself this love and understanding has gifted me the kind of calm I feel when I am on the top of the mauna. And this has helped to guide me in creating clarity from a grounded space. I’m so thankful for this teaching and so grateful to continue to learn from this wisdom.
