Please join us for this mauna-relevant discussion. During the contested case and State Supreme Court hearings, UNDRIP was raised by a number of kia`i, but it was largely ignored by the state. Subsequent to that time, the UNDRIP has been receiving considerable international attention, particularly for its standard of "free, prior, and informed consent." If the NSF gets behind TMT, which would trigger federal review processes, the UNDRIP might become relevant again. Hear from two Indigenous experts as they discuss their experiences with and hopes for implementation of the UNDRIP with reference to sacred lands.
