Ua holo ka ‘aha no Lonoikamakahiki
The opening ceremonies for the ‘Aha Pule ‘Āina Holo have been completed. From Hāmākua to Hāmākua, we ended where we began, on the pali o Koholālele.
Reflections of these 12 ‘aha are still coming in with the wind. My skin still feels the heat of the Lua Pele. My eyes still see the shine of light on the ocean of Miloli‘i. My feet still feel like they are standing on the ancient flows of Kā‘ū. My heart is still beating to pulse of the pahu.
Words are still coming to me on the arch of the Lono rainbows that adorn the sky.
