Shut Down Red Hill

Standing in pule, action, and solidarity with Kia‘i Wai of O‘ahualua who are demanding the US Navy to defuel and decommission the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility.

The Military Industrial Complex was never sent here to protect us. For decades they have poisoned the land, water, and people. They have cracked water tables with atomic bombs. They displaced entire peoples of Oceania with those same bombs. They continue to practice for war between our sacred mountains and valleys. They have left unexploded ordinance across our islands and in our oceans. They have built World War II petroleum fuel tanks directly over whole aquifers that are now contaminated. And now they will do every thing they can to protect themselves and even dismiss and disregard their own.

Our kūpuna have resisted forced military presence in Hawai’i since the beginning and we, their descendants, continue to stand for the demilitarization of our islands, the entire pacific, and the world.

Water is life
And we rise like a mighty wave to protect it
